Security

Built so only your code can open your files

Files are encrypted in your browser before they ever leave your device.

End-to-end encryption

When you upload a file, QickShare encrypts it locally in your browser using AES-256-GCM before it's sent anywhere. The encryption key is derived from your 6-digit code and never leaves your device — QickShare's servers only ever see the encrypted bytes.

Your code never touches our servers

Only a one-way hash of your code is sent to look up your share. The real code — the one that can decrypt your files — stays on your device and the receiving device only.

Short-lived by design

Every share auto-expires 10 minutes after upload and is removed after that, limiting how long any file exists at all.
